Catalonia
Catalonia: The Unique and The Independent

Hi! We are Holly & Safak. Our approach to Catalonia is built on our “Real over Perfect” philosophy. We don’t just show you where to go; we show you how to experience the region’s unique “mood” through the lens of local traditions. About us →
Catalonia is far more than a collection of tourist postcards. It is a region defined by its own language, a revolutionary architectural spirit and a landscape that shifts from rugged mountains to the deep blue of the Mediterranean. To travel here “Slow” is to respect that independence. It is impossible to talk about Catalonia today without addressing the weight of its own popularity. In recent years, the region—and Barcelona in particular—has become a flashpoint for the global conversation on overtourism. We’ve seen how the “Instagram-perfection” of a few famous streets can lead to the displacement of local shops and the erosion of neighborhood life. At FomoTraveller, we look at this problem not by staying away, but by changing how we show up. Our goal is to find that delicate balance: appreciating the beauty of Catalonia while ensuring our presence supports the very local life we come here to admire.
